(Aside from the double-chocolate mini cupcakes and lavender lemonade, naturally)
Beatrix Potter party hats made by Aunt Zizzy and animal faces done by Oma.
Of course, Jemima Puddleduck's egg hunt:
Mr Jeremy Fisher's fishing game:
and Peter Rabbit's Garden Obstacle Course (organized and led by Grandpa):
... are all great fun, too.
One happy and tired three-year-old!
What a great idea for a theme! Beatrix Potter books are just childhood incarnate. Happy birthday, Gracie!
ReplyDeleteWe were even able to find some inexpensive copies of the books at our local used bookstore and send one home with each kid. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of all the decorations (too busy running between the kitchen and drink table with more lemonade), but we had a Beatrix Potter banner as well as two tissue paper flower banners, and tons of pearlescent balloons, and little signs for the food planted in flower pots (Mrs Tiggy-Winkle's scones; Flopsy, Mopsy, & Cottontail's berries and cream, Mr Jeremy Fisher's sandwiches, etc.) ... my sister is a genius when it comes to decorations. Such good memories.
Delete(And I still have the banners and the flower pots and a few of the hats, and tons of ideas for the party on my "Birthdays" Pinterest board, if you ever want to borrow anything for a party for Lulu!)
This is just the sweetest thing ever! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletePrecious! You had me at "double-chocolate mini cupcakes." I'll be looking for repinable pics at your Pinterest board.
ReplyDeleteAwww I can't see the pictures :-(
